From Sketch to Sell Out

What started as simple merch quickly turned into high-demand drops. Over the year, I designed and produced 40+ apparel pieces for a 500+ member chapter, with multiple launches exceeding minimums by up to 200% and top items like sweatshirts selling ~60 units at $80 each. From generating thousands in revenue to creating a chapter-wide gift for 500+ members, every piece balanced scale, quality, and something people were genuinely excited to have.

Surprise: the sorority girl loves clothes… and somehow ended up designing all of them.

As Apparel Chairman for Zeta Tau Alpha, I led the design of multiple apparel drops transforming everyday merch into pieces members were excited to wear beyond just events. What started as simple chapter apparel became an opportunity to create designs that felt personal, wearable, and reflective of our community. This role challenged me to think beyond aesthetics and approach design through both function and experience.

Behind The Drops

The collection below represents the range of apparel I designed throughout the year across multiple drops, styles, and concepts. Every piece was created within strict brand guidelines and required approval from both a national office and a local advisor before going into production, adding an extra layer of strategy and accountability to the design process. Beyond design, I led a 15-member committee, managed timelines and weekly apparel pass outs, and presented each launch in front of the full chapter ensuring every piece not only looked strong but successfully reached 500+ members.

And yes, I got yelled at a lot. But that just means people cared, and so did I!
